Morán’s theater and literary work has been published in Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the United States, including his books Migrant Theater for Children: A Caribbean in New York (2016), and Mantequilla/Butter Adventures and Tribulations of a Puerto Rican Boy (2017). Since 1978, the Center has introduced millions of visitors to the wonder and art of puppetry and has touched the lives of many through enchanting performances, curriculum-based workshops and the hands-on Museum, as well as Distance Learning and Outreach Programs. His three-part documentary film, Títeres en el Caribe Hispano/Puppetry in the Caribbean, premiered at the Havana Film Festival in Cuba in 2016 and has been screened in festivals around the world. He is a former vice president (2012-21) of UNIMA (Union Internationale de la Marionnette).
